February 4 is World Cancer Day, an international day to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection and treatment.
In honor of this important observance, we want to highlight some benefits resources available to help our employees and their family members who are facing cancer.
GuidanceResources Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Our GuidanceResources EAP, available to all AECOM employees and contractors worldwide and their immediate family members, offers a variety of resources to help you prevent cancer, cope with a cancer diagnosis physically and emotionally, and endure cancer care and treatment. Log in to the GuidanceResources website (register with Company Web ID: AECOM) and search “cancer.”
Expert Medical Advice and Second Opinions
Guidance from a medical expert can have a life-changing impact on those facing a cancer diagnosis. AECOM provides free expert medical advice and second opinions for Canada employees enrolled in the AECOM Sun Life Health Plan. Our partner for this benefit is Teladoc Medical Experts, which provides access to world-renowned doctors who can give you the answers, assurance and guidance you need when it comes to cancer. They can review an existing diagnosis and treatment, and either confirm it or recommend a change. Visit the Teladoc Medical Experts site to get started.
