20×21 Challenge in January
Let’s get the year off to a great start by adopting a healthy routine of moving more. That doesn’t mean packing into a gym or training for a marathon. It simply means making a commitment to yourself to get up and get moving — whatever that looks like for you!
During the 20×21 Challenge, January 11-31, log 20 minutes of physical activity a day for 21 days. You can walk, run, cycle, swim, strength train or do any of the activities in the MOVE category to hit your 20-minute goal. Complete 20 minutes each day for 21 days, and you’ll earn 1000 bonus points and be on your way to unlocking badges and earning your quarterly reward.
Connect your wearable device (Fitbit/Garmin) or activity tracking app (Apple Health/Google Fit) for easy automatic activity tracking. All registered users are automatically placed into the challenge. All you have to do is move!
Share your tips for moving more and photos of your favorite way to get moving with #MyMomentToBeWell and/or in the Canada Well-Being platform stream.
Nutrition Mission Challenge in February
Join your colleagues in this 7-day colourful Fruits & Vegetables Nutrition Mission starting February 15!
Get your recommended number of daily fruit and vegetable servings while keeping it creative and colourful. The goal is to get 5 servings of fruits and/or vegetables each day while incorporating a rotating ‘Colour of the Day’.
Each day one of your servings should align with the ‘Colour of the Day’ to ensure you are getting all the benefits that come from the different coloured fruits and vegetables.
There will be a daily post on the challenge stream with a reminder of the ‘Colour of the Day’ and some nutritional information on why each colour is so important.
- Day 1: Green
- Day 2: Red
- Day 3: Orange
- Day 4: Yellow
- Day 5: Purple/Blue
- Day 6: Green (again!)
- Day 7: Multi-colour
