Supporting the well-being of AECOM employees and their families is a top priority. We continue to explore new ways to help our employees thrive both inside and outside of work.
One way that we do this is through our Well-Being Ambassadors, who play an essential part in making a positive impact on the health and well-being of our employees. The goal of our Well-Being Ambassador network is to make well-being accessible and available to everyone at AECOM.
We recently evolved the role of our Well-Being Ambassadors to make it a more meaningful and purposeful experience to those who volunteer. Consider becoming a Well-Being Ambassador to help us continue to make a positive impact on the health and well-being of all employees at AECOM. Read on for details and complete this brief interest form by end of day Friday, April 28.
Who is a Well-Being Ambassador?
A Well-Being Ambassador is someone who:
- Is actively engaged in our well-being programs and has an avid interest in learning more about well-being.
- Prioritizes their own well-being and focuses on ways to optimize emotional, intellectual, financial, physical, planet and social well-being for themself and their colleagues.
- Wants to promote the Canada and Global Well-Being programs to connect colleagues to resources and benefits and is willing to share updates on well-being activities during team meetings, town halls and group gatherings.
- Is eager to host “mini” well-being activities for colleagues on a bimonthly basis (materials will be provided in advance and training will be available prior to hosting activities).
- Goes into an AECOM office at least once per week (highly recommended, but not required).
What do Well-Being Ambassadors do?
Well-Being Ambassadors:
- Motivate: generate interest and excitement for well-being by actively promoting programs, challenges, events and activities.
- Reach out: proactively ask employees for feedback about the well-being programs.
- Connect: engage employees and bring them together for well-being activities.
- Refer: direct colleagues to AECOM benefits and well-being resources.
What is the time commitment?
Well-Being Ambassadors are asked to:
- Allot an average of up to three hours per month to support the well-being programs — this includes quarterly one-hour meetings that we encourage all Well-Being Ambassadors to attend.
- Commit to one year in the role, with the option to continue on, if desired.
